The goal was straightforward. Build a 15m radius ski that we can take to the groomers on an average day with friends, carve hard, trick around on, laugh and have a good time. No bottomless pow, no 80 foot booters, no racing gates... just making the most of the average conditions at your local resort. Because piste skiing can be way fun with the right tools. 100mm under foot, featuring a straight-tapered, edgeless butterzone in the tip and a rockered Springboard tail for endless wheelies and extra pop, the all new Stranger merges carving with freestyle and freeride attributes.

If you're a hard charging directional freerider, there's a good chance the Mantra has been on your radar for a while now. But if not, it's time for some introductions. The Volkl M5 Mantra Skis have the soul of an old school ripper with a traditional shape, a stout titanal frame that offers fall line shredding dampness and rigidity, and a versatile 96 mm underfoot width. It's the go-to ski for advanced riders looking for a daily driver to crush technical terrain in between storms.

Never known for stagnation in their ski design, Volkl has scrapped the popular Eight series and replaced them with an all new Blazing hot lineup. The Volkl Blaze 106 Skis are big mountain freeriders with long, rockered tips and tails, short cambered sections underfoot, a triple radius sidecut, and, most notably; they're crazy light for a ski of their class. Thanks to a titanal power plate and extra long radii in the tips and tails, these rip sticks handle scary fast descents with grace and ease, but the medium short primary turn radius and insanely lightweight construction (did we mention that these skis don't weigh very much?) make for a playful and nimble ride. All in all, the new Blaze 106's are fun, fast, and versatile, whether you ride them inbounds or add Kingpins or Shifts for a ripping 50/50 backcountry setup.
